1. Thomas Meek was born before 1568 in of Cornwall, England. He died after 1629 in Northern Ireland. He was captain of the John Trelawney that was part of the fleet that defeated the Spanish Armada in 1588.

  • 2. Francis Meek was born after 1600 in Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland. He was list as a Lieutenant in the Blefast Muster Roll on 26 Apr 1642. In 1643 he was listed in Belfast Town Book as Captain Frances Meeke, Constable of the Castle of Belfast. In 1646 he was listed in Belfast Town Book (Constable of the Castle of Belfast). In 1650 he was listed in the Belfast Town Book as a Burgess of Belfast. In 1659 he was listed in the Irish census as Capt. Francis Meek, Esq. In 1660 he was made the Sovereign of Belfast. In 1664 he left Diocesan Will that reportedly lists his 4 children William, Maria, Daniel, Petra. He died about 1664 in County Antrim Ireland.
