Meek Family History My mother was Ruth Elizabeth Meek Kraft, daughter of Harry Meek and Mattie Butler. The Meek history was recorded in a volume of John Bunyan's complete works. The entries date back to Thomas Meek, born in Yorkshire England, 1796. Most seem to have been made by "H. M.," certainly my grandfather, Harry Meek, as "H. M." notes, on the copyright page that he was three years old on the date of copyright. He was born in 1869, the copyright is1872. The book was given to my mother on her 28th birthday, from her father. I believe there were no entries after that time, 1940.I gratefully received it from my brother Harry's widow, in 2006.
