1. BRENT NUTHALL was born in Oct 1697 in St. Mary's Co., MD. He may not have been married to Sarah Brereton. He married Elizabeth King about 1735. She was disinherited from her father shortly afterwards. Family stories indicated that Elijah's children believed that he was their grandfather. Sarah Brereton (daughter of William Brereton and Diana Dixon) was born about 1712 in Princess Anne Co., MD. She married John Beesley. She was referred to as widow Beesley in 1786.

11. Elijah Nuttle was born about 1734 in Somerset or Talbot County Maryland. His will was written in Fayette Co., KY on 9 Sep 1796 and probated in 1803. He served with the Pennsylvania Militia during the Revolutionary War. Was a member of the Third Battalion, Washington Co., PA Militia. He was a private, third class; and is listed on the class roll of Captain William Leets. In 1781, it was listed in the Washington County tax rolls with 400 acres, 3 horses, 4 cattle, and 7 sheep; with a total value of 499. In a list of slave owners in Washington County in 1782 he had 6 slaves in Strabane Township. He resided Kentucky about 1786.

He married Mary Price (daughter of Thomas Taylor Price and Martha Robson) about 1763 in Talbot Co, MD. She was born on 1 Aug 1744 in Talbot Co, MD. She died after 1812. Note: (Name was spelled Nuttall in many places. Elijah's mother, Sarah Brereton, may not have been married to Brent Nuttall and connection to his father is uncertain.)
- 101. Sarah Nuttle was born about 1764 in Talbot Co, MD. She married Daniel Rawlings about 1784 in Washington Co., PA. He was born between 1745 and 1755. Sarah and Daniel are mentioned in her father's will probated 1796 in Fayette Co., KY. Daniel died about 1801. Sarah gave permission for the marriage of daughter Polly in 1801 giving rise to speculation that Daniel had died by that time.
- 102. Martha Nuttall was born on 10 Mar 1765 in Talbot Co, MD. She married Garrard Dement on 30 Oct 1786 in Jefferson Co., KY. He was born on 6 Aug 1760 in Louden Co., VA. She died on 1 Sep 1839 in Carroll Co., KY. He died on 9 Apr 1850 in Carroll Co., KY.
