He married Dorothy Cobby about 1706. Maryland Historical Magazine, Vol. 7, pages 166/167, St Ann’s Parish, 9 Apr 1722, Vestry proceedings summons Guy Meek and Dorothy Cobby for incontinent living. Guy Meek and Dorothy Cobby had the following children:

  • 31. John Meek was born in 1707. Source unknown, Not listed in church records/connection to father is questionable. DNA proved John and Thomas born 1708 shared a common ancestor.
  • 32. Thomas Meek was born in 1708 in Anne Arundel Co., MD. Not listed in church records/connection to father is questionable.

In April 1758 his wife Rachel gives up her right of Dower.
There is no evidence that the following refers to Isaac Meek of Anne Arundel Co., MD.
Harrison Co., WV Deed Book #3 p52 dated 1778 Land Grant for Isaac Meek for 360 acres on the waters of Lost Run. Harrison Co., WV Deed Book 1 p330 dated 1790 between Isaac Meek and wife Rachel of the County of Harrison Co., WV first part and John Duvall sold 360 acres on Lost Run and Bankleg Run.
There is no evidence of who Isaac's children were.

    • 70. Sylvester Meek
  • 34. Nathan Meek was born on 24 Mar 1715 in Anne Arundel Co., MD. Parish records connect him to parents

Note: There is no evidence known to this author which would indicate who any of Jacob's children were. Traditional genealogies attribute some of the children of Jacob Meek, son of Adam of Lincolnshire, England, to this Jacob. This may be possible as there is no evidence that Jacob Meek of Lincolnshire was even in America. Nor is there any evidence of who his children were. However, DNA evidence proves that those children came from at least three unrelated families.
  • 36. Laurane Meek was baptized on 24 Jun 1719 according to parish records.
  • 37. James Meek. Connection uncertain, not sure why he is listed.
