He signed a will on 20 Dec 1711 in Anne Arundel Co., MD. He died in 1712 in Anne Arundel Co., MD. His will was probated on 26 May 1712 in Anne Arundel Co., MD. His wife, Mary, and children are mentioned.

He married Elizabeth Heaton before 1684. No proof has been seen of this marriage and the mother of these children is not certain.

    • 41. Lydia Meek was born 25 Feb 1729 according to bible records. She died in 1805. She married James Anderson, son of William and Susannah (Meek) (Phelps) Anderson. See Will of Lydia Anderson dated 12 October 1805, probated 7 November 1805 and recorded in the office of the Register of Wills of Anne Arundel County in Book 37, folio 334 etc.

His estate was probated on 5 Feb 1790 in Anne Arundel Co., MD. Will names his three children. He married Elizabeth _________ before 1759. She is mentioned in deed records.

He died in 1741. Her will is dated 8 Sep 1758 and was probated 30 Dec 1766 in Anne Arundel Co., MD. Her will list children from both marriages.

He married (2) Mary ________ about 1703. She is mentioned in his will. She was born about 1668, based on age given in her will signed in 1726 (age 58). The children of John and Mary were baptised 24 Jun 1719 which was recorded in parish records. She married (2) James Boyce in 1713.
