1. Daniel Allison was born about 1778 in New York according to census records. A birth date of 16 Jul 1777 has been reported but is unverified. It is believed that the family came from Rockland Co. The will was probated in 1864 but was contested and went to the appeals court. He resided in Gallia Co., OH in 1807 when he was appointed administrator of the will of Benjamin Allison. Daniel was the administrator of Benjamin's estate in 1807 Gallia Co., OH.
The relationship between Benjamin and Daniel is unknown.
In the 1850 census Samuel and James were living with their father Daniel. In 1860 Daniel was living with his son Isaac. All lived in Woodford Co., IL. George died before 1850 and it is a mystery why none of his children were living with their grandfather or uncles in 1850. James was unmarried and Samuel appears to have been recently married. However, Isaac had a family and he followed some of George’s children to Boone Co., IA. George’s daughter Nancy was recently married in 1850 and none of the other children have been identified in the 1850 census. Several of George’s children migrated to Iowa.
