John and Amelia had no children but she had two children by her first husband.
111. Nancy Margaret Meek was born 3 Nov 1853 in Schyler Co., MO. She died in Lincoln, NE. She married Preston Raush. He was buried in Bethany Cemetery, Lincoln, NE.
112. Milton Fielding Meek was born on 12 Jan 1856 in Schyler Co., MO. He died on 17 Jul 1939 in Lincoln, NE. He was named after the middle names of two uncles who were visiting the family when he was born, William Milton Meek and John Fielding Meek, sons of Jeremiah and Catherine Meek. At age 9 he moved with his, to Shelby Co., MO where he lived until 1878. He Moved to Otoe Co., NE by horse back in 1878 where his brother John Gidion had preceded him in about 1873. Milton farmed on part of the old Winyard homestead south of Nebraska City. This was the same house where Grace was born. Milton retired in 1904 and they moved to Peru, NE.

On 23 Aug 1906 Milton bought a Lumber Company in Peru and formed a corporation called "Meek Lumber Company". In 1924 they bought another lumberyard in University Place near Lincoln NE. Milton and Grace moved to Lincoln in 1926. Milton moved in with his son's family when Grace. He lived there until his death.

He married Grace Ella Winyard on 13 Sep 1881 in Otoe Co., NE. She was born 3 Dec 1881 in Otoe Co., NE. She died 5 Jun 1931 1932 in Lincoln, NE. (She was the daughter of John Winyard and Ann Hodges Martin Winyard. They are buried in Camp Creek Cemetery in Otoe, Nebraska. John died in 1871 and Ann married widower Hiram Martin. - 203. Carleton Lee Meek was born 2 Aug 1882 on the old home farm nine miles south of Nebraska City in Otoe Co., NE. He died Monday 19 Jul 1971 in Lincoln, NE.
  
  Carleton attended Peru Teachers College. He married Leonora Leard on 14 Sept. 1904 at the home of her parents in Shelby, IA. She was born on 29 May 1884. They moved to his parent's farm in Otoe County. In the spring of 1906 they moved to Leonora's parents farm in Shelby Co., IA. They then moved to Peru, NE in September 1906 and went into partnership with his father.
  
  In August 1924 they bought another lumber company in University Place near Lincoln, NE. They sold this business 21 May 1929. Their first home in University Place was at 2905 No. 50th. They build a home at 5204 Madison Avenue in Aug 1925 where they lived the rest of their lives.
  
  After the family moved to Lincoln, Carleton took up genealogy as a hobby. wrote a book on Meek genealogy in 1954 with an updated revision in 1962. Carleton and Leonora spend many years after retirement visiting almost all of the 48 states and Mexico. Leonora died in Lincoln on 19 May 1974 and is buried next to Carleton in Wyuka cemetery.
