103. Levi Nuttle Meek was born about 1821 in Henry Co., KY. He married Ruth Amanda Likins (daughter of Leonard Likins and Ruth Carter) on 4 Dec 1845 in Hancock Co., IN. She was born on 29 Jul 1829 in Virginia. They appeared in the 1850 census of Center TWP, Hancock Co., IN. His occupation was listed as a tailor.

They moved to Jasper County, Iowa in 1853, according to the 1856 Iowa census, He received 40 acres on 13 Jun 1853 described as the NW 1/4 of NW 1/4 Section 22, Township 79N, Range 18W. The 1860 census shows them in the same area now known as Buena Vista Township. In October of 1869 he sold land in Section 18 and kept 81 acres. On 20 Dec 1869 he purchased 40 acres in Section 21.

He appeared in the 1870 census of Osage TWP, Labette Co., KS dated June 7th. His occupation was listed as a farmer. Levi died in 1871 at Cherryvale, KS according to the bible of his son William. Levi was known as John according to Noble's death certificate and family members.

Ruth and some of the children are listed in the 1880 census of Sheridan Co., KS. Her named was listed as Sarah. However, all other information indicates that she was Ruth Amanda. She was listed with son Noble in the 1885 census of Newton, Jasper Co., IA. She is listed with Phoebe in Polk City, IA in the 1895 census and with Extine in Madrid, IA in 1905 census. She was with Phoebe in Rapid City, SD in 1908. She died on 11 Feb 1914 in Rapid City, SD according to her obituary. Levi Meek and Ruth Likins had the following children:
